Don’t underestimate the singular joy of starting your day with an object designed and hand-hammered by Ruka “Lue” Kikuchi. Founder of Lue Brass, Lue apprenticed with his father for six years before starting his own studio in 2006 with the purpose of making beautiful, timeless everyday objects. Like with all true brass, this ladle will oxidize and naturally patina over time. It’s easily refurbished with a little lemon juice and salt, but we think the aged look is part of its charm.
